SyncTo — AI clinical scribe

AI medical scribe for your consultations.

Talk to your patient. Let the note write itself.

SyncTo listens to the consultation, transcribes it, and fills in your practice’s own template — so the note is finished before the patient has left the room.

How SyncTo writes your clinical notes

1. Consent is recorded, not assumed

Recording cannot start until the practitioner ticks Patient has consented to being recorded. That consent is written to its own audited record, with the user and timestamp set on the server — deliberately separate from the recording itself.

2. A note, or your own template

Note mode transcribes the consultation as a conversation, separating the practitioner from the patient. Template mode routes what was said into the fields of a template your practice has published, so the output matches how you already document.

3. English, Afrikaans, or let it detect

Pick the language for each recording, or leave it on auto-detect. The choice is applied to that recording rather than set once and forgotten.

4. Nothing is saved until you have read it

When the recording stops, SyncTo shows you the drafted fields alongside the raw transcript. You correct anything that is wrong and decide what goes into the record. If the AI could not fill a field, it says so rather than inventing something.

5. Built for the consulting room

Pause, cancel or stop mid-session. If the browser produces no audio or the microphone is blocked, SyncTo tells you what went wrong while you can still do something about it.

6. The audio does not linger

The recording is released as soon as it has been transcribed, and transcript content is deliberately kept out of application logs. What remains is the note you approved.

Off by default. SyncTo is enabled per user, so a practice decides exactly who may record a consultation — and the finished note lands in the same session record as everything else.

Why practices choose SyncTo

For your practitioners

  • The note is done in the room: no evening spent reconstructing what was said six patients ago.
  • Your templates, not a generic form: SyncTo fills the template your practice already publishes.
  • Speak normally: the transcript separates you from the patient, so the conversation reads as a conversation.
  • You approve every word: the draft is yours to correct before anything reaches the record.
  • Works on the tablet you already have: no clip-on hardware, no second device.

For your practice

  • Consent you can evidence: captured per recording with its own user and timestamp, set server-side.
  • Enabled per user: switch it on for the practitioners who want it and nobody else.
  • Afrikaans as well as English: chosen per recording, which matters in a South African practice.
  • Notes land where they belong: straight into the session, ready for invoicing.
  • Documentation stops being the bottleneck: fewer unfinished notes at the end of the week.
Talk to your patient. Let the note write itself.

Finish the note in the room, not after hours.

AI medical scribe FAQs

What is an AI medical scribe?

It is software that listens to a consultation and turns what was said into a clinical note, instead of you writing it up afterwards. SyncTo is PractoSync’s scribe, and it writes into your practice’s own note template.

Do I need the patient’s consent to record a consultation?

Yes, and SyncTo will not start without it. Recording is blocked until the practitioner confirms the patient has consented, and that consent is stored with its own user and timestamp, set on the server rather than taken from the browser.

Does SyncTo work in Afrikaans?

Yes. You choose English or Afrikaans for each recording, or leave it on auto-detect. The choice applies to that recording rather than being set once for the whole practice.

Does it fill in my own template or write a generic summary?

It fills in your template. SyncTo routes what was said into the fields of a template your practice has published, so the output matches how you already document. You can also record into a free-form note instead.

Can I check the note before it is saved?

Yes. When the recording stops you see the drafted fields alongside the raw transcript, and nothing reaches the patient record until you accept it. Where the AI could not fill a field it says so rather than inventing content.

What happens to the audio afterwards?

The recording is released once it has been transcribed, and transcript content is deliberately kept out of application logs. What remains on the record is the note you approved.

Do I need extra hardware, like a clip-on microphone?

No. SyncTo runs on the tablet or computer you already use in the room, using its microphone. There is nothing additional to buy or carry between consulting rooms.

Can I control which practitioners can record?

Yes. SyncTo is enabled per user, so a practice decides exactly who may record a consultation. It is off until somebody switches it on.

What happens if the recording fails partway through?

SyncTo tells you what went wrong while you can still act on it, rather than failing silently. You can pause, cancel or stop a recording at any point during the consultation.

Does the note connect to the rest of the patient record?

Yes. The finished note lands in the same session record as the appointment and feeds the patient’s clinical history, so it is not a separate document to file.
